Little growth artists

They grow far too quickly – the little feet: at the age of between 3 and 6 years by two to three shoe sizes per year and school children still grow one or two sizes. As children’s feet are still very soft and flexible, they even adapt to shoes that are far too small without noticing any pain.
Therefore you should inspect in the case of one to three year old children every two to three months and at the age of 4 to 10 years every three months whether their feet have grown.

Fitting shoes – healthy children’s feet

The Width Measuring System WMS takes both the length of the foot and the width of the ball of the foot into account. Only when both measurements are taken together, a shoe will fit perfectly.
Elefanten had a significant input in the development of WMS. It is the result of the successful team work between paediatricians and orthopaedics.

The idea

Wide! Medium! Narrow! Not only the length of the foot counts! Children with the same foot length often have different ball widths. If the shoe is too wide, the foot is pushed into the toecap with every step. The correct ball width of the shoe prevents this.
